Calorie Counting..



So to start this blog..Im just going to say WOW. Calorie counting really opens your eyes..as I was grocery shopping the other day I came across "Boca Original Chik'n "meatless patties" For those of you who dont know, Boca Patties are meatless patties for vegetarions. Obviously I'm NOT a vegetarian, i LOVE my meat. but for a "healthier" option I picked them up. I tried one yesterday and it was delicious!
I dont really like the Boca Burgers because compared to real meat, no.lol Its not even a comparrison [comparison?] IDK! But anyways, I put it in the oven for 15 min [I like it crispy, instead of soggy in the microwave] and put it on a bun with some ketchup and mayo with a slice of cheese and some onion. I HAVE to have onion on my stuff, I absolutely love it! But anyways, It probably wasnt a good idea to put the cheese on it, because when I looked at the package last night, after the fact, they are 60 calories a slice! I could've cut 60 calories out of my lunch just by removing cheese [& i honestly dont even love cheese!] So for lunch yesterday, NOT including the mayo, ketchup, and onion [i dont think onion has calories anyway, i might be wrong] I had 370 calories/ 13g Fat. I guess that isnt terribly bad BUT I could be alot better if I either didnt eat it with a bun, or had a whole wheat one & no cheese!


So starting right now, well this morning, I am counting my calories. Not only because I am getting married in 13 months but because I need to get healthier. I dont want to "lose weight" just got my wedding day. I want to lose weight to get healthy. I dont want to wake up and say "Oh, I need to go to the gym today to lose weight" I want to say "I want to go to the gym today to get healthier!" Thats my goal right now. If anyone reading this has any good tips on working out or staying motivated, please let me know!

I was thinking of maybe taking pictures of abosolutely EVERYTHING I eat, So i know what Im putting in my body, but IDK if you guys would want to see that? Maybe so you guys can know what to do, or what im doing to try and get healthy? It would definately help me out to stay motivated. I remember seeing something on the TV about a guy who took a picture of everything he ate. Then he made a book out of it. I think just doing that and maybe putting them all in a binder would be really cool. Idk. But so far this morning Ive had 480 Calories. [Everything Bagel, Chives Cream Cheese, & 2 cups of coffee] Is 480 calories alot for breakfast? I talked with my DR last week and she told me to stick to a 1,600-1,500 calorie diet. Because if I'm eating 2,000 calories a day and cut it down to even 1,600 thats 400 calories down a day, 2,800 a week! 3,500 calories a pound so if i cut out 2,800 just in cutting back on my eating, that means I only have to lose 700 calories a week! Which isnt bad! So you guys let me know if you have any good tips and if you would like to see pics of what Im eating.
