Trainer Kicked my Butt!

Today is day 3 after I went to the gym and have a Free Training Session. I wasnt aware of how hard it was going to be. Maybe it isnt hard for other buts Ive never really worked out really really hard or stuck with it. As some of you know, I am getting married in 13 months. Im wanting to lose 80lbs by then. It IS do-able. I am extremely inpatient when it comes to the gym. I like to see results right away which I know doesnt happen. Anyways, my friend and I went to the Free Session and the trainer Aaron sat down and talked with us about how much body fat we had and BMI [Body Mass Index] If you want to find out yours you can do it here , I will put a list at the end of this blog of everything he told us, that I can remember :) He gave us so much information! After all the info he gave us he brought us out to get on the machines. Wow was I in for a surprise. He killed me! One of the three exercises he made us do, he got

us an exercising ball, and put it up against the wall. [RIGHT PICTURE] He wanted us to stand and go down, the other difference is, he had us put our hands above our head, which makes it really hard! [this pic is not me] He had us do this 15 times. Thats alot! For someone like me who isnt used to working out, It hurt!..A Whole Lot! After that he wanted us to go along the half wall and do "dips". It works out your triceps. [LEFT PICTURE] That was okay to do, wasnt to much pain causing :). After that we went to the treadmill that he already had running on an incline of 15 might I add, I think that's the highest it can go, and at a speed of 3.0mph. Okay Okay, that doesnt sound like alot, because when you think of MPH, or atleast me, I think of driving. Well walking at 3.0mph is prety steady, but not at an incline of 15! lol. It was tough! Thats all I have to say! So like I said, its Day 3 after that session and I am just now starting to feel better. My muscles absolutely hated me! Honestly I could barely sit down/get up! To sit on the toilet, I had to fall. lol no joke! So I will either be back in the gym tonight, or tomorrow! I am going to be getting a personal trainer as soon as I can afford it. It is $120/month for a 1-hr session once a week, which equals out to $30 an hour. Thats not to bad! Ive heard of places being $50+/hr.

Here are all the tips he gave us! :) Enjoy!

*You want your body fat to be around 20%

*Only go to the gym 3 days a week or you will be burning muscle and you dont want that. [This is interesting because I thought you had to workout more like 5 days a week]

*Now, Im not sure if this is for everyone but for me and my friend he said for you to be in a "fat burning zone" your heart rate has to be between 130-160 BPM [Beats Per Minute] and until you reach that # you cannot start your time. & you should be in that zone for 30 mintues.

*The fat you eat with your dinner is that fat that is stored in your body [I thought this was interesting too! So that pretty much means, your lowest fat intake should be for dinner..people are so used to eating such a big meal for dinner..I guess thats how our generation was brought up..i dont know..]

*10% of your workout should be Cardio, 40% Nutrition and 50% Resistance Training [weights] This was also interesting to me because I did not know that! I thought cardio was really important! I mean it's still important but I guess doing resistance training is more..Who would've thought? Not me atleast! :)

Exercising

I joined a new local gym near me called YouFit. Im not sure if everyone has them in their area. The main reason why I joined is because it is $9.99/month. Now, let me explain what they dont tell you..
When you go in they have you sit at a table and you give them all your information. You have to choose a plan:

$9.99 Plan- No Contract, $9.99 a month/ $5 extra for unlimited tanning/ $25 every Sept 1 for maintenance charges/You can ONLY go to the YouFit you sign up at/You cannot bring a guest.

$19.99 Plan- 12-month Contract [$100 to get out before the end of 12 months]/ You CAN bring a guest with you anytime you want/You can go to any youfit you want/Unlimited Tanning/1/2 off their drinks.

I went with the $9.99 plan and added $5 extra for tanning. I mean, COME ON! $5 a month for UNLIMITED tanning!?!? Who is going to give that up!? :)

I really enjoy going, and I enjoy how friendly the staff is! They always say bye everytime I leave, and always welcome me. If there is a YouFit near you, I would HIGHLY recommend joining! They do not have a pool/free classes. I do not use those so I didnt need to be paying for them.

My New Obsession

Twilight! :)

I dont know if any of you have seen Twilight/New Moon and read the books but I saw it for the first time last weekend and fell in love. It is amazing! I was very skeptical about it because I dont like Harry Potter. I've seen alot of people that like Harry Potter, like Twilight. So I was scared. BUT, My fiance's mom insisted I watch it and that it wasnt like Harry Potter, even though there were Vampires/Werewolves. Sooo I watched it and LOVEEDD it! It was nothing like Harry Potter.

Right after I watched the movies, I started the the 3rd Book Eclipse. Some of you might think, Why are you starting on the third book? Because I needed to know what happened!! :) I didnt want to wait! Im on page 347. Alittle more than half way through the book. Its getting REALLY good!! I cant wait to finish it and start the 4th! Then I will go back and read the first and second.

I really am not a reader. I dont like reading books unless I am really into them. But this book is an easy read and its a GREAT story line! If you havent read them and want to, I would recommend seeing the movies FIRST. I dont know who likes doing that and who doesnt but since im not a reader, Its easier for me to know the characters and scenery and be able to picture it while im reading. That helps me ALOT!

Im not going to say yet, but....

Bath Gels?

Ok, Heres a review on these bath gels I just used. I honestly don't even know what they're called but I call them Bath Gels. LOL.

I got these bath gels for christmas I think 2 years ago. Do these things go bad? I didnt even remember I still had them in my bathroom drawer until I discovered them the other day. I like taking baths and trying out new things in the water. These smell really good out of the water. I turned the super hot water on and plopped the butterfly in the water. Nothing was happening..I picked it up with my hand and the oil was slowly but surley leaking out. I liked the feel of the oil in the water and it smelt good but when I got out I was kind of disappointed. I got out less than an hour ago & I cannot smell the scent on my body and my skin is not soft. So I have to say, I'm not likin these.

 I took out the butterfly after all the oil had come out. As you can see on the pic to the Right, its flat now. Im not really sure why I kept it. haha. Maybe it could be used as a decoration? iDK! but they are kind of cute! I got these at Ulta, I dont even know if they sell them anymore since it was so long ago.

Ive heard alot about Bath Bombs. I think i've only tried them once and it was soo long ago I dont remember if I liked it or not. Have you tried a bath bomb? Do you have a favorite one? If so let me know!! Tell me where you get it, and what your favorite kind is. I will use it and review it here on my blog! :)

Movie & Shopping!

So today I went to go see Hot Tub Time Machine. It was pretty good. Not like the best movie but it was good. A plus is, the tickets on Thursdays are only $6! They are normally $9 a piece! I think that is completely ridiculous! I remember when I was in 7th grade & they were like $5.50 or something. That's more like it! So there are some movies coming out that I want to see! Ive seen these previews lately! Just Wright/Date Night/The Back-Up Plan are ones coming out soon that I really want to see. I saw previews for Just Wright today! O-M-G You guys have to go watch the trailer today! It looks soooo good! I cant wait! Btw, it has Queen Latifah in it! watch it here!

After the movie I went into Forever 21 to look, but I couldnt find anything so then I went into Charlotte Russe since my sister works there. I was only going to buy one thing but she insisted I dont but less than $10 worth of stuff because it would mess them up for the day [whatever] So I found these colored earrings. I fell in love! Then I really wanted a pair of sunglasses so I tried on probably 50 pair. haha. I'm so picky about sunglasses I get. I'll ask someone if they like them & they say yes, then someone else says no. so confusing! So Im going to post pictures of everything I got. I also got another pair of earrings. They are both feathered. The pair number two is white feathers with turquoise and brown beads.


So I just figured I would tell you guys and show you what I got. They are SO cute! & BTW the earrings were 2 for $8.00 if you guys are interested!

Eyebrow Threading

Has anyone ever heard of Eyebrown Threading? I hadnt until the other day when my mom mentioned it to me. It sounded interesting to me since I absolutely hate plucking my eyebrows. I normally get mine waxed since its quick and less painful than 50 plucks of pain. I was at the mall seeing a movie [will explain that soon] and afterwards I wanted to go find this Threading place. There was a sign saying they would be back at 8pm. I waited around and man oh man it was worth it! I dont even know how to explain the process so im going to add the link that you can watch it being done.



It is amazing how its done. [BTW, this is not me in the video, but the pic IS of my eyebrow to the left] I shouldv'e done a Before/After picture but I didnt think about it until after I was done. OOPS! If you are someone who get's your eyebrows waxed I would highly recommend getting them threaded next time, just to try it out! It was $12 at the place I went which I think is alittle pricey BUT the lady told me it last 4 weeks. Which is technically saving you money because when I get them waxed it lasts maybe 2 weeks. So I'm really saving money if it really does last that long. [I will definately keep you guys updated on how long it last's!]


As I mentioned before I went to the movies last night. Ive been wanting to see The Bounty Hunter, the one with Jennifer Aniston. I have to say, I was kind of disappointed. I was expecting a GREAT movie since Jennifer Aniston was in it. I love her as an actress and most of her movies are amazing. This one was just okay for me. I probably wont watch it again. Have any of you seen this? What did you think about it? & what was your favorite movie with Jennifer Aniston??

Candles

Im really starting to like Candles. We've been having to use them alot since the dogs havent gotten completely potty trained yet and it makes it smell around the house when they pee all the time. Anyway, there are a few candles that I really like that give off alot of sent. There is nothing worse than buying a candle and bringing it home, lighting it and you cant smell it. How aggervating! So here are a few candles I really like that arent to expensive and give off alot of scent! :)

WoodWick Candles

I really enjoy these candles. If you dont know about them they are called WoodWick because the Wick is made out of Wood and it crackels when it burns. Its such a nice sound. It kind of reminds me of being at a bonfire, but not. lol. I dont know of a whole bunch of places these are sold but I do know that they sell them at Cracker Barrel and some times they get marked down to 40% off. I put the link above if you want to order one from online. I personally dont like ordering candles online since I like to smell all of them :) Oh the faces I can make when smelling a bad scent candle!

Yankee Candles

These Yankee Candles always smell good and give off a great scent! It actually surprised me, my mom had the candle half gone and it wouldnt stay lit so they exchanged it for her! So I really like that. Im actually burning one right now the Vanilla Brown Sugar. It smells really good. I can definately smell it around the house!Some of my favorite scents are:

The Fragrance Collection by Glade

These Glade Candles are soooo nice! My mom bought one from the grocery store!! That would be the last place I would think you could by a good quality candle. I would highly highly recommend these! They are extremely inexpensive! They last a long time and small so so good! The only once ive tried is currants & acai. Smells Delicious :)



Last but not least..I know this isnt a candle but I love them!...

Reed Diffusers

These Reed Diffusers are great! If your someone who doesnt like burning candles and worries about the fire, these are perfect for you! They last several weeks, maybe longer, I dont really count..lol. You can get them in so many scents. I just linked the glade one since I was talking about Glade in the other one. Why not help the company out..lol jk! You can also get these at Cracker Barrel, sometimes on sale. I know you can get them at Bealls not to expensive, Target. Probably anywhere. Some places are probably going to be much cheaper than anothers. I know they are $9.99 at bealls. Very reasonable!

More Random Things:

 HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

This morning I woke up and Blake made my some of the best pancakes i've ever had! I tried brown eggs for the first time. I really liked them! I dont like eggs! So I had asked someone what brown eggs taste like, they told me they had more flavor. I really liked them! We gave the dogs some scrambles eggs too. You know, it being Easter and all. Eggs..get it? lol They really liked them! They are two spoiled little dogs, thats for sure.

Blake and I spent alot of time cleaning today. He was in the kitchen putting the dishes in the dishwasher, im sitting at the kitchen table on my laptop and all of a sudden I hear "OH CRAP!" Well this is what happened! haha. We have absolutely no idea what happened. He put a tablet in the wash like always and started it and this is what happened! I told him not to pick it up yet and that I needed to take a pic! He got mad and asked why I needed a pictures..FOR MY BLOG, DUH! lol. Thought I would share this with you guys! So I hope you all had a happy easter & if you dont celebrate easter, I hope you had a Happy Sunday! :)

My Favorite Perfume Picks!

These are my personal favorite perfumes that I used on a daily basis. [not in any particular order] Sorry about the crappy picture quality, they are taken from my cell phone, because I lost my camera at the moment! oops!

REFUGE/REFUGE NIGHT

I really enjoy these two perfumes. The first "version" is called Refuge, the second one is called Refuge Night. The Night has gold glitter in it. Im not to
keen on the idea of having glitter all over me, but it really isnt bad. Its not over-bearing with glitter. Which I like! You can get them at Charlotte Russe or you can ORDER HERE! online. I dont see the Refuge night on the website, you might have to get that one in stores. They are $10.99. Ive had this one well over a year and its not even half gone. Well worth the money in my opinion!

DKNY Be Delicious Apple

Alright, call me crazy, I dont know why im putting this in my blog for my "favorite" perfumes because I dont like this one. I was really disappointed actually to find this out. I got this DKNY Apple perfume for christmas 2008. Honestly, it gives me a headache. I wear it once in awhile when Im feeling apply kinda? lol. But for an everyday wear, I do NOT wear this everyday. MAYBE once a month! Im sure alot of people have this & love it! & If you want to try it out for yourself ORDER HERE! BTW, I dont NOT recommend this, it just didnt work for me! :)

Breathe Romance

Alrighty, this one is Breathe Romance Amber Myrrh. I love this! Its not a strong perfume. Its more of a mist. Very delicate scent but will stay on you for hours! Unfortunately I couldnt find the link, because I dont think this is sold in stores anymore. I got it from Bath and Body Works but it would a long time ago. I couldnt find it on their website, but I could find it on ebay and other bidding sites. Just Google "Breathe Romance" and it will pop up! I highly recommend this if you dont like extremely strong scents but want something on for people to recognize you have a good smell :)

Paris Hilton

Love Love Love This! It is called "Paris Hilton" I got this for a christmas gift a couple years ago. I opened it and smelt it and fell in love. It is described on her website as "apple & juicy peach" Idk what it smells like to me, but GOOD! Just my luck, alittle while after I got this as a gift, I was at Target and saw them on sale for $5 A PIECE!!! [It was a gift set, which included, body wash, body lotion, the perfume, and a mini travel perfume] FOR $5!!! Me being Me, I took 4 of them :) I gave one to my sister, and one to my mom, and I still have the other two boxes in my closet until I need them! $5! I could NOT pass that up! I looked up a couple different websites that have this perfume & this one was the cheapest so if you want to order online then ORDER HERE! but if you dont want to pay shipping, you can really get them anywhere, Walgreens/Target/CVS/Walmart ETC anywhere that really has perfume. The only place ive seen the 4PC Gift Set is Target, and its $29.99, but its also $29.99 just for the perfume, So if you want all the extras I would go for the gift set, same price! why not!? :) Oh & I wanted to add, I would not recommend the "Just Me Paris Hilton" I DO NOT like it, I still have it sitting in my bathroom, ive only used it once, I was really disappointed :(

Fantasy by Britney Spears

Again, I LOVE this perfume! Another one of my favorites that I wear all the time. Ive loved it ever since its come out. Its been out for several years now! & still very popular. There are two different sizes 1.7oz [$34.99] & 3.3oz [$48.99] If you have the money I would recommend getting the 3.3 because your getting 1.6oz more for $14. Instead of the 1.7oz for $35. Make Sense? lol I hope so! and again, you can really get this anywhere that sells perfume. Im not sure where the cheapest place is going to be, but if you want to get it online you can ORDER HERE!

Adrenaline for Woman

I dont have my own picture for this one because sadly, im out of it :( This again is one of my favorites! I just wish you could wear all perfumes at once!! LOL :) I highly highly recommend this! I dont even know really how to describe the smell but its amazing! :) I have NO idea where you can get this other than online, I havent bought it in such a long time! Ok so now im really sad! i just was looking online for a website to order, ITS DISCONTINUED!!!! OMG! This sucks! :( I should go on strikE! ha. jk.
